Flute Day is coming to UW-Parkside!
Join us for UWP Flute Day on Saturday, September 12 at the UW-Parkside Arts Building. This event is open to flutists of any age, whether you're a student or a community member.
Registration is $20 for students (from any school, not just UW-Parkside) and $25 for non-students. Payment is cash or check only, collected at the box office on the day of the event. Don't forget to bring your flute!
Plan to bring a packed lunch and dinner or you can go off campus for food.
The day includes clinics, a masterclass with our guest artist, recitals, an exhibit hall and a flute choir reading session.
Anyone is welcome to attend this flute-filled event!
Guest Artist Gala Recital
Cap off the day with a gala recital featuring guest artist Heather Zinninger.

Masterclass Application
Open to high school level and up. Submit a video stating your first and last name, grade, and the piece you'll perform. Perform a 2-3 minute selection of the piece, with or without piano. Video due by August 24, 2026. Selected participants will be notified by September, 2026.
Recital Application
Interested in performing in a recital? Submit a proposal by August 24, 2026. There is no audition, but only a limited number of performers will be selected. Programs should total no more than 10 minutes and include titles, movements, composer names with birth and death dates, your name, and the names of all performers (mixed ensembles are welcome as long as flute is present in each ensemble). A video submission is optional.
